Far from simple ....

The centrifugal force, is but a conceptual force that has no
real existence. It's an "invented" force to support the New-
tonian assertion that for every action there is an equal and
opposite reaction. This is not unlike faith. One must accept
it and for with there is no satisfying explanation.

That's the reason why it is deemed a law (Newton's 3rd law).

It is a bit hard for skeptics to entertain the concept of an
intelligent piece of concrete. Which, can summon a different
reactive force for different people who walk on it. Be they
thin or fat, men or women, adults or children. And it ceases
to exist as soon as the pedestrian is gone. The centrifugal
force, likewise, has no existence independent of its conjoin
-ed gravity twin.

The equal and opposite centripetal force .... :)
