A great many Americans and non-Americans would argue that he is.
Of course the vast majority of them came to this conclusion only after
the actual war itself.
On the other side one could argue that an effort to remove a dictatorship
and
replace it with a democratic form of goverment is a worthy cause.

First use of a nuclear weapon in the event of US intervention over Taiwan
would effectively guarantee Global condemnation of China, not to mention
possible Global intervention on Taiwan's behalf. Over 60 years ago Imperial
Japan
was the most powerful country in Asia and overran most of it. But they
proved that
they couldn't fight everybody at once and expect to win. No country can.
I doubt China would be that stupid.
